So the idea is to create a site where people can report problems/concerns/suspicions they have with products. Chinese products? All products?
Companies can check to see if their product is listed, how many references, etc-bad news for them.
Lawyers can check to see where the gold is.
Consumers can look for problems to avoid, patterns of abuse, support from those in like circumstances.

Follow-up comment rss or Leave a TrackbackI think having an ‘incident report’ portion of the site would be very useful for consumers.
Key words: Product Safety; Product Problems; Product Concerns
An incident report contains:
Submitter’s first name and last name (kept private/confidential)
Zipcode or Country (remember this is international)
E-mail (with e-mail confirmation).
Incident Report Number
Category of Product (could be self-defined to begin with although a pre-defined list would be good from a database query perspective.)
Product
Brand/Manufacturer
Distributor/Store where purchased
Problem experienced
Who have they reported this to.
Date submitted
Time submitted
IP address of submission (can probably be picked up)
Confirmation date
Incident number (system assigned)
Incident Status (submitted, submitter confirmed, conveyed, corroborated/cleared)
From this, one of our customer groups would be to report these problems to the manufacturer and distributor/store
After submission an e-mail would go to the submitter saying we have received an incident report from them. It will not be made active until they confirm (basically to control for flaming).
