The news aggregator site Business Insider is out with an article comparing major China city pollution with US cities. The pollution measurement for the worst US major municipal area is a fraction of the better areas in China. Pollution in major population areas of China is so bad that US foreign missions (embassies and consulates) feel obligated to report on it via Twitter to US nationals located in China.

The cute quote from China spokespersons is that non-Chinese are not adequately equipped to measure pollution. I guess they mean that “adequate” is having measurements that don’t tell you the truth.
